Ekkarat has over 10 years’ experience advising leading multinational companies across the automotive, transportation, manufacturing, hospitality, chemicals and cosmetics industries.

He is highly adept in providing legal advice regarding corporate and commercial transactions as well as direct investment and regulatory matters. His acumen is derived from his experience in leading complex, high-stakes matters involving M&A and real estate acquisitions, including business takeovers and acquisitions in the automotive and chemical industries. He has further assisted leading multinational transportation companies with their acquisitions of companies in Asia through his advice surrounding licenses and permits regulations.

Ekkarat also specializes in contract reviewing and drafting. He frequently advises both international and domestic clients on Thai labor laws, insurance laws and the Civil and Commercial Code of Thailand. He has significant experience in supporting foreign businesses in establishing their operations or in-bound investments in Thailand, including in applying for investment promotion under the Board of Investment, obtaining Foreign Business Licenses, setting up representative offices and requesting Foreign Business Certificates under protection of the U.S.-Thailand Treaty of Amity. His expertise extends the complete range of legal issues in doing business in Thailand, from company establishment to its dissolution.

Sought for his solutions-driven advice, Ekkarat regularly coordinates and negotiates with various authorities in Thailand – such as the Board of Investment, Ministry of Commerce, Office of Insurance Commission, and Office of the Consumer Protection Board – to provide business oriented legal assistance. His experience in negotiation with government officials includes those concerning client work in highly regulated industries. Moreover, Ekkarat regularly advises clients in these industries with advice covering regulatory and compliance issues.

Ekkarat graduated from Chulalongkorn University, one of Thailand’s leading universities, and is an ordinary member of the Thai Bar Association and Lawyers Council of Thailand.
